It seems the Baggies are intent to get a quick 4 up on Villa tonight Giggle

The Official Premiership Thread - darthpaul - 29-01-2014

Great point from West Ham, ref tried hard to let Chelsea have 8 mins stoppage time when it was meant to be 4 (probably plus 1 for the injured player) Its no longer Fergie time, now its Jose time! Mrgreen Daf you must be delighted!

ahem Tongue

The Official Premiership Thread - deanashtonsfoot - 29-01-2014

Great result. Thup

Could have done without Sunderland winning as we're now 2 points from safety, but that shouldn't take away from a really decent result.

RE: The Official Premiership Thread - ken66 - 29-01-2014

All you need now is for Soulfusion to say you will definitely be relegated Mrgreen

The Official Premiership Thread - Soulfusion - 30-01-2014

But not tonight...

Right on this evidence Man City to put 4 past Chelsea on Monday night Wink

PS Comments from Mourwhinio following the game criticising Big Sam's defensive tactics are a bit rich. Isn't Jose the most successful defensive coach in the world right now? Also if you have 39 shots at goal in a game but only 9 on target surely there is something wrong with the way your team develop clear cut chances!

The Official Premiership Thread - keefa - 30-01-2014

Mind games central from Mr Mourinho.

The Official Premiership Thread - Soulfusion - 30-01-2014

And Villa turned things right around against the Baggies. Were you at the game last night Keefa?

The Official Premiership Thread - keefa - 30-01-2014

I certainly was! It seems the plan at home is to go 2-0 down quicker so that we start playing quicker as well Mrgreen

The Official Premiership Thread - Soulfusion - 30-01-2014

Hopefully you haven't used up your full allocation of goals for the next few home games; didn't last night's 4 constitute nearly a third of Villa goals at home all season?

And what was Lambert up to discarding the raincoat and standing in the technical area whilst it pissed down all night?

The Official Premiership Thread - keefa - 30-01-2014

Yeah, before last night we had scored only 8 goals at home in the league all season. 3 of which were against Man City!

It's a funny old game Mrgreen

Re Lambert; he had a coat on until they went 2-0 up, then I thinkhe must have thrown it in anger or something, because he stood there without it on for the rest of the half. He had a proper raincoat on for the whole of the second half, though.

On last nights performance West Ham should have sufficient to save themselves if they can start scoring goals.

Since taking charge of Palace and Sunderland Pulis and Poyet are getting results and are beginning to look formidable. Whereas the managerial changes at Cardiff, Fulham and Baggies have not had the desired reaction. At this stage I think Cardiff and Fulham will struggle to get out of the bottom three where they will soon be joined by Stoke as Mark Hughes continues to prove he cannot cut it as a Premier Manager!

The Official Premiership Thread - keefa - 30-01-2014

I would love it if Stoke got relegated and Palace stayed up. Life would be even better if the Boggies got relegated too!

The Official Premiership Thread - f1dave - 01-02-2014

Lovely dink from Adam Johnson through to a teammate who is taken out by the Newcastle defender... Peno and Borini blasts it home.

...And then cops a yellow card for celebrating in front of the Newcastle fans Mrgreen

And now Johnson scores after some beautiful buildup play... Unbelievable!

The Official Premiership Thread - f1dave - 01-02-2014

Meanwhile, good news for DAF as Carroll heads a ball without injuring himself and Nolan takes it and scores. Mrgreen

RE: The Official Premiership Thread - deanashtonsfoot - 01-02-2014

Twice! Mrgreen

The Official Premiership Thread - deanashtonsfoot - 01-02-2014

....and now he's been sent off. 3 game ban. ARGH.

The Official Premiership Thread - f1dave - 01-02-2014

3-0 Sunderland, oh wow.

The Official Premiership Thread - f1dave - 01-02-2014

Some Newcastle fans exiting the stadium, some Newcastle fans entering the pitch. Guess they just don't like their seats?

Big Sam on Chico Flores' exaggerated reaction to the Carroll swipe: "Centre halves aren't supposed to squeal."
