It has been a long-time since I have played (AD&D was owned by TSR and Battletech/Shadowrun was owned by FASA when I played and I avoided GW because their games were all about milking as much money out of you as they could).

Which nerd shop in Penrith? The Tin Soldier?

I've got to be honest, I never saw the appeal of all that Games Workshop stuff with the little painted models, or even now with the online World of Warcraft stuff. Just doesn't really appeal to me.

Yep. Bought out by Rowan, Trev and Bill and now completely unaffiliated with the other Tin Solider that was losing money like the US economy

Awesome, I understand the Tin Soldier in the city closed. I still remember going there between lectures when I was at uni.

Re software, I majored in computer science and then worked in SW development and test for 3 years. Which is also what I did in China, working for a year and a half in Shanghai. Then I was traveling around there for almost a year and will probably go back to work there in the future. It's been a very interesting time!
