Yeah, but the likes of the current Norwich manager and current Bolton manager found it easier to get jobs in professional football than the majority of non-league managers would based purely on their reputation as players.

Agreed that it should be easier based on reputation; I just feel that reputation trumps CV in-game to a degree that I find a bit unrealistic, although it could be that I don't grasp how much of a social club football might be and think of it as being more merit-based than it actually is.

Ah I see what you mean, based on my experiences with Worcester on FM11 I agree whole-heartedly Mrgreen

I think the automatic reputation gives you a starting reputation that reflects on the club you start at. So if you start with Manchester United you'd get a reputation that makes you well known, if you start with Maidenhead United you get a reputation where you'd barley be known in Berkshire.

That's how I understand it, Ben.

That would make sense, but in my non-Llama days, I've started saves with an automatic rep with teams like Arsenal, and the players have said that they aren't motivated to play for me due to my rep which would contradict that point.. Shrug

TBF I think the players at a club like Arsenal would want someone better than just 'Automatic'.

Yeah, they are a bit arrogant at l'Arsenal.

Could be worse, if you were at Manure they would complain unless you had a rep level of "SAF-like" because they are not arrogant just better (at complaining) Smile

Struggling with this one, can anyone point out where I might be wrong...

Just had a news item saying that the clubs 6 matches unbeaten between [date] and [date] is a new club record. However, all 6 matches were wins yet there was no news item saying a consecutive victories record had been broken (despite it having been). Surely consecutive wins is the 'bigger' record? Why comment on one and not the other?

Wtf
I just went into my first game (away) of the continental league as underdogs.
I'm winning 0-1 at H/Time
on 55 mins we score again...0-2 right? WRONG
Apparently it's 3-1, then 4-1, then 5-2 and finally the game ended 5-3. Considering only 2 goals were scored and both by my team, how the fuck did I lose? Banghead

EDIT: and now the game is stuck on the Team talk page

I remember the penalties bug on FM06. If you won a game on pens, more than likely the game would decide that you lost it instead

\o I've had that with FM12, although I didn't get stuck on the team talk and when the match day was exited the score was correct according to the game I watched.

I had to restart and replay the game along with the previous game which I had won 7-1. Luckily I won both games again

Can't decide if I have a subversive bastard or a masochist for a right back. Post-match talk and I tell him he's disappointed me with his performance tonight.

Player reaction: Looked delighted

Board happy because I made it into Europe like I promised.
(only I didn't)

*edit* to clarify I didn't make it, its not that I didn't promise because I did.
I know what I mean..
