I'll keep this brief. Would anyone be up for meeting for a game sometime in the next few months? Looking at the spread of people obviously that might be a challenge/impossible for some. Perhaps a game in the Midlands in Leagu2/BSP and a few jars somewhere nearby? Just a thought, might be a shit one.

100 years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like; but the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child.

Nit picking, but wouldn't a Conference North or South game be more appropriate as an LLM site. I suggest either Basingstoke Town or Maidenhead United. Whistle

Depending on finances and ease of travel I'd probably be up for doing it.

That would be awesome! Thup
If I start saving seriously now think that I'll might have the necessary funds to go to London sometime in April.

Oh btw Kev have you received my last two PMs I sent you. Haven't got a reply on either of them.

Of course its a good idea Kev; the tricky bit will be finding a date and location that suits everyone before interst wains. But yes I'd be up for something like this. Need to ensure the location is on a good rail line to ensure a few jars can be downed.

Ok, well BSS would be easy enough. BSN Nuneaton is pretty easy to get to. Any other suggestions? Worcester is probably as central as it gets.

I'd be interested if it's not too much of a mission and I'm not working or under the thumb.

What Lee and Al said. Also, depending on the date, either the baby or a massive, dribbling, angry, tired, pregnant wife may also be an issue. Mrgreen

I've heard Brighton's a nice place for a meetup and Lewes from the BSS are just down the road. Wink

Great idea, unfortunately I am in a similar situation to DAF in regards to my pregnant wife and impending arrival of baby. Add to that the train from Canberra is a slow one, it is unlikely I will make it there in time. However, wherever and whenever you guys do this, please drink a pint on my behalf (anything but bloody Fosters) and know that I am there in spirit but physically I will probably be on the sofa Smile

Kin (and all in similar situation) is there a chance we could hook up a web link for you guys to be there?

Would a local London team be ideal? After all, all roads (and public funds, not to mention NATIONAL stadiums) lead there? Perhaps AFC Wimbledon?

Wasn't thinking that soon! Looking at trains, I reckon late September/early Ocotber would be a decent starting range?

Birmingham. Central answer.

I would definitely be into a web-link if we can get the IT logistics and timings sorted out Thup

I think Kev hit upon an idea with having it in London tbh. It is easy for anyone to get to.

That is of course, unless most of us who would go are Northern. Mrgreen

Where is everyone and how long would everyone's train journey be to get to London/Birmingham?

For me it would be about 1hr to London and about 3hrs to Birmingham.

As for dates - I'm busy for most of August so that's out and I really should avoid October as I'll be on red alert with the baby at that point - due date is 14th October. September or November could be doable.
