Well, figured I'd kick this off over here as well.

Back to being shite and bottom then, after the brief flirtation with being second from bottom after Wolves lost on Saturday. Losing at Sunderland is nothing to get too concerned over though as our record in the north east is generally awful, even when we're good.

We'll see. We've done a bit over the last week that gives me a glimmer of hope and we're now only 3pts from safety.

Just looking at the goal difference says that the bottom 3 all deserve to be there right now.

4 games left before the new year, then Wolves at home on New Years Day. If we're still bottom after that lot, we're probably doomed.

Well, I expected us to lose this one, but sounds like we were pretty woeful.

We remain rock bottom and with Wigan and Fulham picking up points we're now 4pts from safety.

Blackburn away next.....

They seem unable to show any strength at all at the minute, I thought maybe the Man U result would have inspired them a little but they appear to have given up hope already.

Bring on Dangermouse.

He's a goner...

Yeah, definitely.

Those games are Blackburn (A), Fulham (A) and Everton (H).

Sounds like they've run out of patience with him. I suspect they have plans to try to bring in Big Sam. As much as I hate his style of football, I'd accept him right now.

So, a win against Fulham and now a draw against Everton. Has lifted us off the bottom, albeit having played more games.

Absolutely crucial game next though. Wolves at home. We HAVE to win that.

Well that was a crucial win!! Up to 15th all of a sudden!

Hopefully Arsenal will do the decent thing and beat Birmingam to help us stay there.

I'm not kidding myself though. We've got a few tougher fixtures coming up (Newcaslte (A), Arsenal (H), Everton (A)) and we've also played more games than anyone else, so we're still right in the shit.

7 points from the last 3 games has helped massively though.

You've gone above us due to goal difference, and that is only going to get worse for us tomorrow Sad

Every season an unexpected team gets dragged into a relegation battle. This year it is our turn, and boy are we struggling.

Well as I suggested before, no sooner are we out of the relegation zone than we're back in it again.

Newcastle away tonight, so I think we'll be lucky to get a point out of that. That said, we are on a role. Wink

Wigan have Bolton away and Wolves have Chelsea at home, so hopefully they'll both do the decent thing and lose.

Could do with those other relegation candidates Aston Villa losing to Sunderland as well. Tongue Mrgreen
