Depends who you ask, some people will say BDO, some will say PDC. In my opinion the PDC is better, more tournaments, better prize money and the most important thing, better quality darts players.
That said, the BDO is the original organisation, so some people say it is the 'proper' organisation, but at times watching the BDO is like watching me play for my pub team.

Yeah, the PDC is better in terms of prize money and professionalism, but there's just something about the BDO that makes it more watchable for me. Other than the fact I don't have Sky Sports and can't watch the PDC Mrgreen

A pub pastime that has made the several top players very rich indeed

Precisely my feelings as to why BDO is better. Mrgreen

So after Lewis retained the PDC World title on Monday, the BDO starts again today. The BBC have split coverage with ESPN this year, so I'm not sure how it's going to effect their usual coverage?

Anyway, looking forward to seeing some single figure scores, 15's, 23's and thinking "I could play in this!" Mrgreen

Oh, and have you seen the Dutch darts player Dana Verhaegen? Stunning! She was also to blame when someone lost to her fella at the PDC championships last week Mrgreen

She isn't no. Mrgreen

Watched a classic first round match between Jan Dekker and Cristian Kist on Sunday. Probably some of the best darts I've ever seen in the first round of the BDO!

I watched a bit of the PDC Quarters and Semis. Whitlock storming from 2-0 and 2 legs down to 5-3 and 2 legs up beore choking in the semis was amazing.Shame he couldn't make another final

Ana won the ladies title again Lee. She came from a set down to beat Deta Hedman 2-1. It was a good game, and Deta looked to be steaming towards the title until she had a brain freeze and went for double 16 when she still had 42 remaining!

Christian Kist and Alan Norris put on a good show in the mens quarters yesterday, with some excellent scoring. The finishing started to dip towards the end, but this Kist guy is going to be tough to stop.

Semis today are:

Hankey (Eng) v Kist (Ned)
O'Shea (Eng) v Harms (Ned)

Nice South Park linking there daf Mrgreen

Hankey loses the first leg against the throw, and seems to be trying to slow everything down to disturb Kist.

2 legs down now so not working yet Mrgreen

Would love to see an O'Shea - Hankey final, but I get a feeling they will both lose.

Hankey's just gone 4-3 up and Kist looks rattled.

I wonder if Hankey will finally be moving to the PDC after this tournament?

Tony O'Shea has done it \o/\o/\o/

He beat Wesley Harms 6-5 in the second semi!

Will be an interesting final with a new name on the trophy after it.

About time too, really.

O'Shea almost mounted a great comeback in the BDO final today, but Kist hung on in there to win 7-5 on his Lakeside debut. At just 25 years of age, he could have a heck of a future in this game!
