History:

Worcester City Football club was formed on 9th September 1902 following the liquidation of another local side, Berwick Rangers.

Worcester City took over the fixture list from Berwick Rangers and remained in the Birmingham League for another 36 years.

The club is based at the St George’s Lane Ground in Worcester where it moved to in 1905 from another site in the City of Worcester.

After leaving the Birmingham League, Worcester City entered the Southern League and remained there until the formation of the Alliance Premier League (now Football Conference in 1979).

City stayed in the top division of non-league football before suffering an unexpected relegation in 1984/5 (the club had been top of the league before Christmas).

Many fruitless years were spent trying to win the Southern League title but success proved elusive,
however the club gained acceptance to the new Nationwide North when this league was formed in 2004/5.
